“The Sexual Revolution in Spain” Lecture by Marta Valentin Vicente, the Virginia E. Wheeless Women's History Month Keynote Speaker. Marta V. Vicente is associate professor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies and History Departments at the University of Kansas. She is the author of Clothing the Spanish Empire: Families and Calico Trade in the Atlantic World (Palgrave MacMillan, 2006) and co-editor with Luis R. Corteguera of Women, Texts, and Authority in the Early Modern Spanish World (Ashgate, 2003). She is currently working on a book on sex and gender in the Spanish empire. |
