The Career Services Center offers a variety of recruiting services for employers. Please discuss your needs and objectives with our office in order for us to help plan and implement the strategy that works best for your organization.

Participate in our Job & Internship fairs. All majors (except nursing and education) are combined for events in October and February. In March we host our annual Teacher Placement Day connecting you to the prospective students for the next year. Representatives from business, government and nonprofit organizations talk to students about their organizations and introduce students to the career options available in the current job market. Recruit the talent your organization seeks here at Central Missouri. It’s also a great time to interact with the faculty as they find this a great opportunity to meet you.

Mules4Hire via NACELink
This web-based product allows employers to access and update company information, view on-campus interviewing schedules, conduct resume searches of candidates, and post vacancies. (Employment-seeking students register in the Career Services Center to secure access to this system, too.) Mules4Hire can help you manage your on-campus recruiting, too.
Schedule your date early. You can choose to have a pre-select schedule or an open schedule, with both still targeting the candidates that meet your qualifications. To schedule your date, please complete the On Campus Recruiting Form by logging into your Mules4Hire account at the following link: https://ucmo-csm.symplicity.com/employers/index.php
How to complete your on-campus recruiting request:
- Sign in to your account.
- Click on "Request A Schedule".
- Fill out the online form and only select "Pre-Select" or "Open" as your schedule type.
- Click "Submit".
Information Sessions/Classroom Presentations
Face-to-face group time is a wonderful way to share your organization and expertise with a group of students and faculty. It works effectively as a way to share information needed for those scheduled for upcoming interviews or to promote an upcoming interview schedule. We will reserve rooms and order necessary equipment and refreshments upon request. Plan ahead and schedule your date early by calling a Career Development Coordinator at 660-543-4379 .
Each semester, business and industry representatives are invited to campus to conduct practice interviews with students. Mock interviews are a great way to further develop your brand on campus, meet students and help students learn important interview skills. Want to participate? To post an opportunity (job or internship), the following information is required:
- Job description including a company profile
- Contact person’s name, email, address and telephone number
- Required application materials requested (resume, cover letter, transcript, references)
- Specific candidate criteria (e.g. GPA, class year)
- Application deadline
- Delivery method for application materials: Mules4Hire can collect, students can be referred to your organization’s website, and/or students can be instructed to apply via mail, email or fax.
Online Resume Books & Resume Referrals
Don’t wait for candidates to follow up with your posting. Gather candidate information by requesting resumes’ of students that meet your criteria. Our office can provide you resumes’ via email and you can start immediately with candidate review and follow-up. Want to browse candidates? Make sure you have access to electronic resume books and search away…..by major, key word, graduation date, etc.

Recruiting Events and BIG Interview Days
Career Services will host four career events during 2012-2013. These events allow recruiters to interact with hundreds of students from many degree programs, including the faculty of those programs. You should receive a registration reminder approximately three months before each event prompting you to register online at www.ucmo.edu/career. Details on these events are noted under the “ Schedule of Special Events.”
Following our Fall and Spring Career Expos, we host BIG (Business, Industry and Government) Interview Days. These events allow you to interview students who requested interviews with you, as well as students you meet at the Expos. This is a convenient way to complete a recruiting visit. Space is limited for these targeted days so requests are met on a first-come, first served basis.
Delta Epsilon Iota (DEI) – Academic Honors Fraternity
Delta Epsilon Iota established a chapter on the UCM campus in 2007. Now in its sixth year, the membership is comprised of outstanding scholars from all departments on the UCM campus. Our chapter has been recognized nationally for leadership and accomplishments in career development.
Through DEI's partnership with Career Services, and subsequent connections to you as a recruiter, these students reach out to employers to assist in chapter programs and activities, especially as they relate to developing skills to assist them in their job search and professional goals.. If you are interested in meeting with or speaking to the DEI honor society about career options in your field, contact our office.
