Information for STUDENTS
FOR STUDENTS: WHAT TO DO IF YOU BELIEVE ANOTHER STUDENT IS IN DANGER OF ATTEMPTING SUICIDE
If you think a student is in immediate danger of attempting suicide, contact Public Safety (911 or 543-4123).
If you believe a student may possibly be suicidal, share this information with one of the following:
- Corey Bowman, Assistant Vice Provost for Student Experience and Engagement, at 543-4114 or Administration Building, Suite 214 (8:00-5:00)
- Counseling Center at 543-4060 or Humphreys Building, Suite 131
(8:00-12:00 & 12:45-5:00) - Public Safety at 543-4123 or 306 Broad Street (24 hours daily)
- A readily available university employee, such as Housing staff, a faculty member, student organization advisor, or any other University employee with whom you are familiar
1-800-273-TALK SUICIDE PREVENTION LIFELINE
The national suicide prevention lifeline, 1-800-273-TALK, is available 24 hours daily to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Your call will be routed to the nearest crisis center to you.
