Clearing Your Browser's Cache

Internet Explorer 6

To clear your cache:

1.  On the Internet Explorer 6 Tools menu, click Internet Options.

2.  On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete Files button.   This will delete all the files that are currently stored in your cache.

3.  Click OK.

 

To automatically clear the cache when you close IE 6:

1.  With the Internet Options panel still open, click on the Advanced tab.

2.  Under Settings:, scroll down to the section labeled Security, and check the box next to
"Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed".

3.  Click OK to finish.

 

 

 

Firefox 2

To clear your cache:

1.  On the Firefox Tools menu, click Clear Private Data....

2.  In the Clear Private Data window that appears, uncheck all checkboxes except for the Cache checkbox.
 
Note: If you wish to clear additional forms of "private data", feel free to check the appropriate boxes.

3.  Click Clear Private Data Now to finish.

 

To automatically clear the cache when you close Firefox:

1.  On the Firefox Tools menu, click Options.

2.  On the Privacy tab, in the Private Data section, click the Settings button.

 

3.  In the Clear Private Data window that appears, uncheck all checkboxes except for the Cache checkbox.
 
Note: If you wish to clear additional forms of "private data", feel free to check the appropriate boxes.

4.  Click OK.

5.  On the Privacy tab, in the Private Data section, check "Always clear private data when I close Firefox".

6.  Click OK to finish.
