Ms. Jean Zimmer, Assistant Professor
From 2011-2013 Jean was the project director for an R01-National Institutes of Health—National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders grant in the Link-N-Literacy Lab in the Special Education and Communication Disorders Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was an academic/clinical instructor at the University of Central Missouri, 2001-2008. She was an instructor in the Communication Disorders and Sciences instructor at Rockhurst University in Kansas City 2008-2010. She is the owner of Communication Family Resources, a Missouri private practice. Jean is an active member and past president of MSHA as well as an active member of ASHA. Jean received her B. S. and M. S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Central Missouri. She is currently completing classes and research toward a PhD in Evaluation and Treatment of Childhood Communication Disorders and Second Language Acquisition at the University of Kansas. Jean enjoys traveling, reading, walking and spending time with family.
