- Getting Involved
Students who need assistance planning their successful progression through a degree from UCM do so with the help of an academic adviser. Students pursuing degrees from the Department of Communication & Sociology may seek advising assistance from the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Advising Center, located in the Martin Building Room 124.
In addition, each student in the Department of Communication & Sociology is also assigned a departmental adviser. Departmental advisers are faculty members who give one-on-one course planning guidance to students in specific areas of study. Students pursuing a degree from any Communication program is required to apply for admission to B.A./B.S. Degree Programs in Communication. Students are automatically assigned their departmental adviser upon receipt of this form.
