Service Learning Activities

  • Spring 2005, Students raised money for the Women’s Survival Abuse Shelter by developing new companies and selling products on campus. Students raised $243.00 for the Shelter.
  • Fall 2003, Students volunteered at Hallmark’s Kaleidoscope. Students assisted children during creativity sessions at the facility. Collaborated activities with colleague, Amy Clements. 
  • Nov.-Dec. 2003, The IGEN 3116 Creative Problem Solving class adopted the children’s playroom at the local Women’s Survival Abuse Shelter. The goal of the project was to remodel the activity room into a safe, imaginative and creative place for the children at the shelter to play, express their feelings through creativity, and escape from the stress occurring in their lives. Collaborated activities with colleague, Amy Clements.
