Application for Faculty Travel Grant
The Center for Teaching and Learning offers an annual Faculty Travel Grant for faculty. Awards are limited to $500 each academic year and are based upon applications describing how the workshop will contribute to the faculty member's classroom environment and/or method of instruction. This grant is specifically intended to support travel in areas not covered by the Scholarly Activity Fund, the Faculty Senate Professional Enhancement Committee Mini-Grants or the International Travel Fund. Previously faculty were allowed to apply for all of these grants in conjunction with a travel grant from the CTL which, although it minimized any out-of pocket expense for any particular faculty member, did not spread limited funds across the University to help support travel for a larger number of faculty.
Funding will be considered for only two Central Missouri faculty members per workshop/conference and will not be considered for faculty who are also presenting at the workshop/conference. CTL travel funding is available only to faculty employed full time, faculty members classified temporary, adjunct, Graduate Student, or Teacher's Aide are not eligible. Applications must be submitted to the Center for Teaching and Learning in Administration 304 F prior to travel and should include a copy of the brochure, registration form, or an agenda that includes a description of the training and the registration cost.
