Seeking Spoken Word Contestants - $100 First Place
Women and Gender Studies is proud to announce SPEAK OUT, a spoken word competition for students, featuring premier Kansas City spoken word artist Natasha Ria El-Scari.
Any UCM student can submit original writing on women, gender and/or sexuality for performance: poetry, rap, spoken word, song lyrics, personal narrative, short story, etc. (to be performed Wednesday, March 13, 11:00am-1:00pm in the Union Atrium)
Please submit your written piece for performance consideration to the Center for Women and Gender Studies in Wood 110 or email to arball@ucmo.edu no later than Monday, March 11.
Please join us Wednesday, March 13, 11:00am-1:00pm in the Union Atrium to see Natasha perform along with student contestants as they SPEAK OUT about women, gender and sexuality in celebration of a Week on Women, Gender and Sexuality.
