Delta Dental Change
Effective July 1, 2013 Delta Dental will be making a change to their fee structures for dentists who participate with Delta Dental Premier*Network and Delta Dental PPO Network in Missouri. Their standard out-of-network schedule will also be reduced.
According to Delta Dental most of their members will realize a reduction in out-of-pocket costs, if they continue seeing a dentist who participates in the Delta Dental networks. However, if you see a dentist who does not participate in those networks, you will likely experience an increase in out-of-pocket costs.
Delta does anticipate minimal disruptions to their networks as their changes do not significantly deviate from the marketplace however some network turnover may occur. Delta Dental will notify affected subscribers, or covered dependent, by mail during the next several weeks should your dentist leave a network.
We encourage you to see dentists who are IN one of our networks as it provides greater value for you. Delta Dental participating dentists have agreed to accept their fees as payment in full, and they are not allowed to balance bill for their services.
