Don't get KMOS-TV on your satellite reception system? Here's the fix!
The rules and practices for satellite programming services discriminate against the satellite delivery of UCM's public television station, KMOS-TV, in many of the station's home counties. That keeps some of our local residents from being able to watch the locally produced programs University Magazine, Sportspage, Show-Me Ag and Season to Season. But there is a remedy.
The KMOS-TV broadcast signal is very strong in Johnson, Henry, Lafayette, Pettis and Saline counties, so with just an inexpensive broadcast antenna (and possibly even an interior, shelf-top antenna) you should be able to pick up all three KMOS-TV channels: 1) 6.1 KMOS-TV's PBS channel, augmented with locally produced programming. 2) 6.2 KMOS-TV's CREATE channel, loaded with cooking, gardening, arts and travel programs 24 hours a day. 3) 6.3 KMOS-TV's MHz Worldview channel, with news, discussion and dramatic programming from all over the world.
Give the Office of Broadcasting Services a call at (660) 543-4155 for further information about installing an ancillary reception antenna in addition to your satellite reception feed. You deserve the best that public television station KMOS-TV has to offer.
