The Abolitionists - Tonight at 8 pm
Tonight KMOS-TV premiers the first of a three part series focusing on Nineteenth Century abolitionist allies Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, Harriet Beecher Stowe, John Brown and Angelina Grimke. Persistent commitments and combined efforts of the five very distinctive personalities turned a despised, fringe movement against chattel slavery into a force that changed America and the world.
The Abolutionists - a new episode from The American Experience series will be broadcast on channel 6.1 tonight at 8 pm.
The American Experience is one of the few extant historical documentary series, and it's here today because of contributions from public television viewers. You can support UCM's public television station too, by making a pledge of support through the station's web site - www.kmos.org .
KMOS is trying to raise over $100,000 in new member contributions In order to offset pending budget reductions. Your contribution will count toward that vital goal.
