Public Safety Staff Transitions
With the retirement of Major Richard Gillespie last fall, there have been transitions in responsibilities at Public Safety. Parking Services Sergeant Scott Rhoad was promoted to Major, and is now supervising the police division. Sergeant Dan Othic has transferred from evening shift sergeant to Parking Services Sergeant and Officer Scott Lewis was promoted to sergeant, moving to evening shift sergeant.
Two DPS officers, Joe Jennings and Robert Watkins, will begin the UCM police academy next week and begin field training upon completion of the academy in May.
