Polychronis Named to IACS Board
Director of the UCM Counseling Center, Paul Polychronis, Ph.D., ABPP, has been appointed to the position of annual review officer on the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) Board of Accreditation and also appointed to the IACS Board of Directors.
IACS provides accreditation of counseling and psychological service centers in institutions of higher education primarily in the United States, Canada, and Australia. The UCM Counseling Center is one of three IACS-accredited centers in Missouri. Accreditation by IACS is based upon meeting high standards of counseling practice and excellence of clinical performance.
The UCM Counseling Center has been accredited since 2006 and Polychronis has served as an accreditation field visitor and on the IACS Board of Accreditation since 2010. Polychronis has served UCM since 1990.
