Ribbon Cutting Honors Professor Emerita Sherralyn Craven
You are invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday September 11, from 1-3 p.m. for the space formerly known as W.C. Morris 220. This room is being named in honor of Dr. Sherralyn Craven, professor emerita of mathematics, 1957-1991, and her husband, Harold in recognition of their dedication and generosity to the UCM Foundation and the College of Health, Science and Technology. Dr. Ambrose will speak at 1:15 p.m.
Their private support made the renovation of W.C. Morris 220 a possibility, which will provide a great new collaboration space for our students, staff and faculty.
In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony there will be an open house for all of the recently renovated spaces in the W.C. Morris building. WCM 420 was renovated with a combination of grant dollars, department, college and facility funds. While WCM 414 and 418 (renovated last year) and WCM 201 and 202 (renovated this summer) were made possible by funding priorities determined by the dean and provost.
