UCM Joins 9/11 National Day of Service and Rembrance
The University of Central Missouri will join in the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance in honor of those individuals who lost their lives in the 9/11 tragedy. The campus observance begins at noon Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the quadrangle, and everyone who is interested is welcome. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in Hendricks Hall. After a welcome by UCM President Charles Ambrose, keynote remarks will be presented by Brig. General Thomas A. Bussiere, commander of the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base. Other participants include local firefighters and first responders.
