Pioneers of Television - Tonight at 7 pm
Over thirty years ago a few television series' broke the traditional programming mold by being broadcast in episodic fashion...and the mini-series was born. Some of those shows are considered the biggest television events in television history.
Pioneers of Television will explore "Roots," "Rich Man, Poor Man," "The Thorn Birds," and other miniseries' that have reinforced the episodic storyline and have changed television for good. Retrospective programs like these are made available in Central Missouri on KMOS-TV channel 6.1.
