South East Complex Dedication Friday

A committee of Warrensburg residents that includes UCM employees and alumni are planning a special re-dedication ceremony for the former South East Elementary School, 415 E. Clark St., at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. This special event is being coordinated by the South East School Historic Preservation Committee, which is comprised of individuals who either attended or have association with the former educational facility. The school opened in 1955, and after being vacated in recent years, reopened in 2014 as the new site of the UCM Facilities, Planning and Operations (FPO) South East Complex. The dedication ceremony includes remarks by UCM President Charles Ambrose, Warrensburg R-VI School District Superintendent Scott Patrick, and Warrensburg Major Donna Defrain. Light refreshments will be served in the employee center/gymnasium, and there will be a building tour conducted by FPO staff.
