2014 National Walk @ Lunch Day
Get Up. Get Out. GET YOUR WALK ON!
Join UCM and tens of thousands of walkers nationwide for National Walk @ Lunch Day. Just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity, such as a brisk walk, at least five times a week has significant health benefits. Walking can lower the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and hypertension, lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and improve the health of your muscles, bones and joints. You can take your first steps toward a healthier life on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
We will meet at 12 noon in front of the Administration Building. Once you have registered you can take off on your 30 minute walk. Walkers will receive a drinking cup, enter for a chance to win a fitness basket, and register for 5 My Rewards points. (To register for the My Rewards points, please bring your BCBS insurance card.) In case of inclement weather, we will meet and walk in the Student Recreation Center.
