McKnight Named to Lee's Summit Medical Center Board
Carolyn McKnight, director of the UCM Summit Center in Lee's Summit, was appointed in January 2013 to the Lee's Summit Medical Center Board of Trustees for a three-year-term.
Lee's Summit Medical Center is a 64-bed hospital within the HCA Midwest Health System, the largest health system in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Lee's Summit Medical Center recently received a new designation as a Certified Trauma Center reflecting the hospital's dedication to advanced life-saving emergency and trauma care. In 2012, it was the only hospital within the Kansas City region awarded an "A" for patient safety by Hospital Safety Score.
"I'm very excited about the appointment, particularly because of the variety of services Lee's Summit Medical Center offers, and the excellent way it serves the community," McKnight said. "It is a tremendous honor to serve on the board."
