Mules return home to host Northeastern State on Homecoming

The 24th-ranked Jennies Soccer team (10-2-2, 6-1-1 MIAA) gets the week started on Thursday night hosting Missouri Western at 7 p.m. at Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex. The Jennies will close out the weekend as well, hosting Northwest Missouri State on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Jennies Field. Saturday night is Senior Night for the Jens with UCM's seniors being honored in a pre-game ceremony.

Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. the annual Homecoming Pep Rally will be held at the UCM Multipurpose Building with the public invited to attend free of charge. The event will include performances by the Mulekickers, cheerleaders, Marching Mules and skits from various campus organizations. The Mules Football and Jennies Soccer teams will be introduced as will the Homecoming royalty finalists.

Mules Wrestling will host their annual Hall of Legends night on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Heroes Restaurant, 107 West Pine in downtown Warrensburg, admission is free of charge. This year's class will honor five former Mules as well as the 2000-01 team for their achievements in the areas of wrestling, coaching, and outstanding service to Mules Wrestling.

All UCM Mule Train donors are invited to watch the UCM Homecoming Parade on Saturday morning at the Achauer House at 314 South Holden Street. The parade and refreshments will begin at 9 a.m. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets if they wish to sit and watch the parade.

The Mules Football team (3-4, 2-4 MIAA) will headline the weekend with a 1:30 p.m. contest against Northeastern State at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field. The gates at Walton Stadium will open at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Tickets can be purchased Saturday morning or in advance at the Multipurpose Building, Room 101 or by calling 660-543-4063 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Mule Train donors are invited to the pre-game tailgate beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Mule Train tailgate area located just west of Walton Stadium. Guests that are interested in joining the Mule Train may accompnay members at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for children. Non-Mule Train members wishing to tailgate may park in the "Mule Stable" lots north of the UCM Physical Plant. Responsible tailgating for those 21 and over begins in the designated lots at 10:30 a.m. and concludes at the end of halftime. Fans are encouraged to go to to check out the tailgating map, which outlines the designated tailgate lots.
