Rise of the Drones - Tonight at 8 pm
Tonight on KMOS-TV channel 6.1, NOVA explores the rising technology and applications of remotely piloted air vehicles - or Drones. Drones are essentially unmanned flying robots - some as large as jumbo jets, others as small as birds - and they have the capability to do things straight out of science fiction. Much of what it takes to get these robotic airplanes to fly, sense and kill has remained secret; but NOVA reveals the amazing technologies that make them so effective.
