The Debate over Ethnic Studies Comes Alive
Pricila Rodriguez, a student featured in the documentary Precious Knowledge, will be on campus on Monday, February 25, to present the film and answer questions about the ongoing battle in Arizona over the law that effectively banned ethnic studies in public schools. Rodriguez was a student in the nationally recognized Mexican American Studies program in the Tucson Unified School District when the political fight to end ethnic studies was at its height. The event is made possible through a grant from the American Democracy Project.
