Coleman Rehearsal Hall Dedication and Concert
In March 2012, The University of Central Missouri Board of Governors approved naming the primary rehearsal room in the music building the Russell Coleman Rehearsal Hall. The initiative is intended to honor the legacy of Russ Coleman for his years of service as Director of Bands (1964-1996) and Department Chair (1975-1996). Dr. Coleman continues to serve UCM and the community and has been especially supportive of the department after his retirement. The dedication will include a sign and bronze plaque in the rehearsal room, as well as historically significant pictures and memorabilia in a special band hall. Please join us Saturday, January 12 at 4:00 pm at the University of Central Missouri as the UCM Alumni Concert Band performs their annual concert in Hendricks Hall. Immediately following the concert there will be a short ceremony in the music department (Utt 102B) to dedicate the rehearsal hall, during which time refreshments will be provided. We sincerely hope you can join us as we honor this very deserving individual.
