Provost Forum on Best Practice and the Future of Online Learning at UCM
Building on the positive response, participation, and input of the first Provost Forum on Best Practice and the Future of Online Learning at UCM, the second forum will continue the discussion on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Union 236. This forum will center around a panel discussion of questions / topics that include: why engage in developing online courses, resources and technologies used in an online class, issues on student interaction, assessment of student learning in an online class, what can the university do to help improve and expand your ability to teach online, and what preparation do students need before they take their first online course?
The invited panel includes: Dr. Barbara Baker - Nursing, Ms. Dianna Bryant - Crisis and Disaster Management, Dr. Odin Jurkowski - Career and Technology Education, Ms. Kathy McCormick - Adjunct/TEID Coordinator, Dr. Alex Pagnani - Educational Foundations, Mr. Stan Smith - Elementary and Early Childhood Development Adjunct. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Deborah Curtis.
