Seeking Artists for Politics and Social Justice Week Flyer Competition
Students for Political Action (SPA) are seeking artists to participate in a competition to create a flyer to advertise Politics and Social Justice Week which will be held this spring semester, April 3rd through April 12th. The winner will receive $100. The theme for this event is "Equality, Diversity, and Justice." Lilly Ledbetter who is famous for her persistence in actively pursuing the fight to close the wage gap between men and women will be the keynote speaker during PSJW. Other speakers will address political and social justice issues throughout the week and include areas such as: education, inner-cities and African Americans; immigration and post-9/11 politics; the LGBTQ community; democracy in the Middle East; North Korea; and African women.
