IMPACT Leadership Retreat being held on campus!
We hope that you are aware that the Office of Student Activities is hosting the IMPACT Leadership Retreat in a couple weeks, July 24-26. I have attached a list of all the student participants with their majors so you have an idea of who will be attending.
You are welcome to participate in any part of the retreat and a complete schedule of the retreat can be found at http://www.ucmo.edu/osa/leadership/impact/impact_forms.cfm.
We have a special opportunity on Wednesday, July 24 at 8 pm in Union 240 for faculty and staff to participate in an activity with our students followed by a school spirit presentation with John Culp. There will be time after John's presentation for you to mingle with the students during their free time in the Elliott Union.
For those that do not know, IMPACT is an early engagement opportunity for first-year students coming to UCM. Student involvement in college is a prime indicator of success while on campus and into one's career. Leadership is developed in many ways. Through membership, executive positions within organizations, and volunteerism a students leadership profile begins to develop. IMPACT is attempting to combine all of these aspects into one central focus.
We hope you will join us in making an IMPACT on these new students. If you have any questions, please let me know.
