Imboden Appointed to MAC Panel
Jeff Imboden, Director of the Performing Arts Series at the University of Central Missouri(UCM), has been appointed to the Missouri Arts Council's Touring Performers Panel. The Missouri Arts Council, a state agency and division of the Department of Economic Development, awards grants to non-profit organizations to stimulate the growth, development and appreciation of the arts in Missouri. Artists formally apply to be included in the Touring Performers Program Directory, and are reviewed by the Panel for their artistic quality, management ability, and touring experience. The Missouri Arts Council then offers Monthly Strategic Touring Grants to assist presenters to bring in artists selected from the directory to perform in their communities and schools. Imboden runs the Office of the Performing Arts at UCM, which oversees the Performing Arts Series, as well as managing the Central Tickets Box Office and assisting in venue, contract and performance management. He is a professional musician who has performed locally and in the Kansas City area, including a stint as a back-up singer for Columbia recording artist Kenny Loggins. Imboden is a long-time Warrensburg resident who has served on several Boards, including the Jaycees, Rotary Club, Hidden Pines Country Club and Co-chair of the Warrensburg Planning & Zoning Commission. He currently serves on the Warrensburg Main Street Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Warrensburg Arts Commission.
