Polychronis Appointed to Eating Disorders Council

Director of the Counseling Center Paul Polychronis, Ph.D., ABPP, was appointed in December 2012 to a two-year term on the Missouri Eating Disorders Council, an entity within the Missouri Department of Mental Health and created by state legislation. The purpose of the council is to establish and oversee eating disorder education and awareness programs, identify whether adequate treatment and diagnostic services are available in the state, and assist the Department of Mental Health in identifying eating disorder research projects. Polychronis has served UCM since 1990.
