Blackboard Maintenance May 14-15
With the new academic schedule being implemented this Summer, there will be a one week break between classes during the week of May 13. This gives us the opportunity to perform needed maintenance and upgrades to our Blackboard platform.
We have been testing Service Pack 11 for our current version and feel this upgrade will benefit the university community by providing needed improvements behind-the-scenes while making new features available through the user interface. There are no major changes in the interface and, therefore, no prior training or orientation will be needed by Blackboard users.
The upgrade will begin after the 'Grades Due" deadline for Spring semester, and will require our Blackboard platform to be off-line during a 24 hour maintenance window.
The maintenance window will begin at 2:00 P.M. CST on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Once the upgrade begins, Blackboard will not be accessible until the upgrade and testing are complete. We expect the upgrade to be completed by end of business on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
Watch for further announcements on sessions covering the new features and functions that will be available after the upgrade. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Technology Support Center at 660-543-4357or email@example.com.
