Volunteers Needed for the 45th Annual Children's Literature Festival
Are you staying in town for spring break and looking for something really great to do? If so, the James C. Kirkpatrick Library encourages you to serve as a volunteer host to one of over 40 nationally recognized children's literature authors and illustrators during the 45th Annual Children's Literature Festival. Thousands of Missouri schoolchildren attend this wonderful campus event each year.
The festival takes place on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19, 2013. We welcome volunteers that can assist on either day or both days.
When you volunteer, you get to:
- Experience the university campus when it's buzzing with visiting schoolchildren who really know their books. - Meet and assist nationally recognized children's authors and illustrators. - Receive a signed certificate of appreciation. - Enjoy a 20% discount on children's books, and have your author autograph them. - Have fun!
We provide all volunteers with a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack.
