Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Integrity Announces Certifications
Certification of individuals, along with the accreditation of institutional programs, is a benchmark for standards of ethics and compliance. The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Integrity announced today the certification of two of their members by national compliance and ethics boards:
Dr. Victoria Steel has successfully completed the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional examination. This certification demonstrates knowledge of relevant regulations and expertise in compliance processes needed to understand and address legal obligations, and promote organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs.
Dr. Janice Putnam has successfully completed the Certification of IRB Professionals examination. The credential was developed to promote ethical research practices and programs by ensuring that those charged with their administration have demonstrated an advanced level of knowledge, understanding, and experience.
