About Us
The Office of Community Engagement works with everyone on campus--students, staff and faculty - to facilitate an environment of respect, understanding, and inclusivity. Please read the office's Community Creed.
UCM's Office of Community Engagement encourages understanding and appreciation of all dimensions of human diversity through educational programs, shaping of policy and procedure, assisting in partnerships between groups that might not otherwise work together, communicating diversity news and happenings on campus, and addressing issues in need of attention on campus. The Office of Community Engagement also serves as a diversity resource center for the campus and community. The Office has hundreds of books, videos, guidebooks, and interactive activities available for check-out.

The Office works closely with the surrounding local communities regarding inclusivity and diversity issues and also oversees Central Missouri's partnerships and public awareness in the Kansas City metro area, specifically in the African American, Asian, Hispanic, Muslim and Native American communities.
