To participate in UCM’s dual credit program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a high school junior or senior
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be recommended for participation in the program by a school official
- Meet UCM’s course admission standards for Math and/or English:
- Students must take the ACT or equivalent testing and receive:
- 18 or above for admission to dual credit English courses
- 20 or above for college algebra, trigonometry, and pre-calculus
- 24 or above for calculus
Dual credit students are expected to be proficient in the English language. Dual credit classes contain university level material and a certain level of English proficiency is necessary. Students should discuss this with their guidance counselor to ensure that their language skills are such that dual credit classes are a good choice.
There are two ways in which high school students can submit their enrollment application for dual credit:
- Students can complete the Dual Credit Application online, www.ucmo.edu/recruit/
- At the end of the online application students will be prompted to print the online signature page. If for any reason the student is unable to print the signature page, click here for a paper copy.
- The paper signature page must then be completed with all required GPA, ACT scores -if applicable, course information, and signatures. The signature of a school official, on the enrollment form, is required as verification that all criteria have been met.
- The counselor, or teacher, must then submit the completed enrollment application form by the due date on the annual calendar to the Dual Credit Office for processing.
- Students can printout the full enrollment application form by clicking here.
- Students must return the completed form to a high school teacher or counselor.
- Teachers, counselors, or other high school officials must verify GPA and ACT information and sign the enrollment application.
- Teachers must then send in the enrollment application forms by the due date on the annual calendar to the Dual Credit Office for processing.
NOTE: If a student does not complete any part of the application process, including required signatures, does not meet dual credit enrollment requirements, or as a hold on their account because of past due balances, they will not be enrolled. The enrollment form will be returned to the teacher via U.S. mail indicating what is missing.

Once all enrollments have been received and processed, a roster will be sent to each teacher for verification of enrollment. Teachers are required to verify and request changes to the roster if student enrollment has changed. If for any reason a student enrolls in the class after the enrollment deadline they will be required to submit complete payment of tuition with the application.
Only classes submitted by the deadline and listed on the drop form will be removed from student’s records. To drop a dual credit course, a student must submit a drop form with all required signatures to the dual credit office by the deadline on the annual calendar. The drop form should be available at the high school counselor’s office, but can also be found here. Completed forms can be faxed to 660-543-8333.
Dropping the course at the high school or rearranging a student’s high school schedule does NOT constitute dropping or withdrawing from UCM enrollment. All charges will still apply unless the course(s) have been dropped officially through the dual credit office.
Blackboard Access for Non-Dual Credit Students
Non-dual credit students can get the Blackboard acccess form by clicking here. Students who are enrolled for dual credit will already have access to Blackboard and do not need to complete this form.
Students with Dissabilities
Dual credit students with disabilities (IEP, 504 plan etc.) should contact the Office of Accessibility Services: Barbara Mayfield, M.S.,J.D. 660-543-4421 or email@example.com. Accommodations are unique to each student and should be discussed with the staff of Accessibility Services. They will work with the individual student to assess the student's need for reasonable accommodations and develop a plan to meet those needs.
