Dr. Brant taught first grade and was an elementary principal in Warrensburg, MO. She was an Adjunct Professor at UCM before becoming a full time Assistant Professor in 2003. Her research interests include the teaching of reading and professional development for elementary teachers. Her belief is that you only teach “gifted” children as they are a gift to you for 9 months of the year.
Dr. Brant lives in Warrensburg, MO where she is close to her three children and four grandchildren.
