While still working as Superintendent for Warrensburg Public Schools R-VI, Dr. Orr taught as an adjunct instructor in the Master of Arts in Teaching and Educational Leadership programs. Following her retirement from the school district in 2012, Dr. Orr joined the Elementary and Early Childhood Education faculty at UCM as an assistant professor. She believes, "The ECEL program of study provides and exceptional preparation experience. I don't know of any program that provides a higher level of knowledge, support, and clinical experiences (for) prospective teachers." Her research interests include programs and strategies to increase effectiveness of teacher preparation.
Dr. Orr and her husband have been married for over 40 years. They reside in Warrensburg and are blessed to have two children and now five grandchildren.She enjoys music, reading, cooking, gardening, and travel.
