Pleiades
publishes fiction, poetry, essays, and reviews by authors from around the
world. Past issues have featured brand new work by Joyce Carol Oates, Campbell
McGrath, David St. John, Maxine Kumin, Sherman Alexie, Chris Offutt, and Jean
Valentine. Recent work from Pleiades has been reprinted in Best
American Poetry and the Pushcart Prize anthologies, among others.
In addition, Pleiades Press and Winthrop University publish one full-length
poetry collection each year as part of the Lena-Miles Wever Todd Poetry Series.
Submissions to the magazine are considered year-round. Book manuscripts are
selected through the Lena-Miles Wever Todd Poetry Series Competition.
The editors
of Pleiades are also pleased to announce the new web version of the
Pleiades Review of Books. The Pleiades
Review of Books, which appears as part of each print issue of the magazine,
features in-depth reviews of new, primarily small- and independent-press,
books.
