Dear Students, Colleagues, and Friends of the UCM Philosophy Program,
We hope you enjoy this first issue of Philosophy E-news, a periodic online newsletter published by the Philosophy Program at University of Central Missouri. The newsletter provides announcements, news, discussion topics, research, and web-based resources for current and prospective philosophy majors and minors, university colleagues, and all those interested in the study of philosophy.

As the Undergraduate Philosophy Program Coordinator, it is my special privilege to introduce this first issue of Philosophy E-news , the electronic newsletter of the Philosophy Program at University of Central Missouri. Let me also take this occasion to announce the launch of the new Philosophy Program website, where you will find detailed information about the Program, including information about faculty members and their areas of interest and publication, course descriptions and offerings, requirements for majors and minors, and so on. The website address is www.ucmo.edu/englphil/philosophy. The site will also include a link to all subsequent issues of Philosophy E-news .
If you have suggestions for future issues of Philosophy E-news , would like to contribute a brief commentary, or perhaps even guest edit a special issue of the newsletter, please contact the Philosophy E-news student editor, Brian McCoy ( toby1155@yahoo.com ).
