Meet Angela Richard
Working as a graduate assistant for the director of development communications allows Angela Richard to exercise a journalistic writing muscle that she has not used in many years.
Originally from Warrensburg, Angela earned her degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. She served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for six years and then earned an MBA at Simmons School of Management in Boston. After working in the business world for several years, Angela decided she wanted to teach at the post-secondary level and returned to Warrensburg and UCM where she is working on her master's degree in English with a dream of one day becoming a university professor.
Angela loves teaching and tutoring and has volunteered as a literacy tutor at Johnson County Adult Literacy.
