Meet Sharon Gabel
Sharon Gabel, Independence, Mo., is retired from Levi-Strauss & Company where she served as the military sales manager for Europe. Prior to that, she taught high school English in the Chilhowee, Raytown South and Warrensburg school systems.
Sharon received her BS in education from UCM in 1964. She is actively involved in Women Vision International, an organization that provides microloans to women in developing countries. She is a member of a team that travels to the Dominican Republic and Columbia to assess current projects and is also involved in the Green Tara Foundation, which provides aid to Tibetan refugees who have escaped Nepal.
