Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications for the 2014-2015 academic year must be completed and submitted by March 1, 2014.  Be sure to check below for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.

Name of Scholarship To apply, a student must:
Bart Brown Memorial Aviation Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation
  • currently hold or be pursuing a private pilot's license
  • demonstrate financial need
Ovid C. Bonham Aviation Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation
  • have earned a minimum of 60 credit hours toward a degree in aviation
  • hold at least a private pilot's license
  • have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in major
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • be a non-smoker
Michael E. Bush Aviation Scholarship
  • be an incoming freshman student and be accepted to UCM
  • plan to pursue a degree in aviation
  • be an active member of the Civil Air Patrol as a cadet that has passed the Mitchell Test (first preference shall be given to cadets in the Missouri Wing of the Civil Air Patrol; second preference shall be given to cadets in the North Central Region of the Civil Air Patrol; third preference shall be given to cadets in the Civil Air Patrol)
  • preference shall be given to students demonstrating a desire to teach
Robert E. Goetz Scholarship
  • be a graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in agriculture, aviation or within the School of Technology
Mike Floyd Aviation Scholarship
  • be a full-time sophomore student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of aviation
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in major
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • demonstrate a true love of flying
Walter Gunn Aviation Scholarship
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • demonstrate financial need for expenses related to meeting flight requirements
Frank E. and Harriet E. Hedrick Aviation Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a major in aviation with demonstrated potential in the field of aviation
  • have a record of high scholastic aptitude and achievement
Shannon L. Jipsen Aviation Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM (preference shall be given to a female student, however, if no female students apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given other students meeting the criteria)
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation-Professional Pilot or aviation safety
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of aviation or aviation safety
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in major
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • have effective oral and written communication skills
  • demonstrate financial need for expenses related to meeting flight requirements
Kansas City Business Aviation Association Aviation Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM;
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation;
  • show potential for a career in corporate aviation;
  • have effective oral and written communication skills.
Craig R. Korvas Memorial Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of aviation
Ollie Krick Memorial Scholarship in Aviation
  • be a full-time senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in aviation
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of aviation
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • have earned a private pilot's license and be working toward another level of pilot certification
Paul E. Richter TWA Scholarship
  • be pursuing a degree, major or minor, in aviation with demonstrated potential in the field of aviation
  • be a full time student in good academic standing at UCM
Kenneth Wayne Thomason Aviation Opportunity Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing or plan to pursue a degree in aviation
  • demonstrate financial need
  • preference shall be given to incoming freshmen students
