Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications for the 2013-2014 academic year must be delivered or postmarked by March 1, 2013 to the address printed on the application. Be sure to check below for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.

- win the annual David Baker Poetry Competition or the David Baker Fiction Competition

- be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in English
- be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
- demonstrate financial need

- must be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in English education
- have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in major
- demonstrate good character, leadership and service

- be pursuing a degree in English
- have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours of English courses
- have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all English courses
- demonstrate promise and merit in the teaching of English and creative writing

- be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in English or library science
- have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0

- be a full-time junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in English
- have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a 3.25 in all English courses attempted

- be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
- be an active member (served at least one semester) of Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society at UCM
