Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications for the 2013-2014 academic year must be delivered or postmarked by March 1, 2013 to the address printed on the application. Be sure to check below for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.

- be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing an individualized major or minor in Africana Studies
- have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.75
- show promise of leadership and service

| Ruthe Boles Koenig Scholarship (for incoming freshmen students) |
- be an incoming freshman student and have been accepted to UCM
- plan to pursue a Bachelor or Science Degree in Education with an emphasis in history
- have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all history classes taken

| Frank E. Martin Scholarship |
- be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in physics (however, if no students pursuing a degree in physics apply or are deemed eligible, second preference shall be given to a student pursuing a degree in mathematics; third preference shall be given to a student pursuing a degree in history)
- show promise of academic ability
- demonstrate financial need

- be a full or part time student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in History
- have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0

| Arthur F. McClure II Archives Scholarship |
- be a full-time junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in history with an interest in historical archives
- demonstrate good character, leadership and service
- have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in major

| Alfred E. Twomey Scholarship in History |
- be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a degree in history
- have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.25 in history major
- be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
- show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of history

| Alfred E. Twomey Graduate Scholarship in History |
- be a graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
- be pursuing a graduate degree in history
- have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in history courses taken

| Wake Island Defenders Memorial Scholarship |
- be a graduate student enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester at UCM
- be a descendant of a Wake Island Defender (however, if no descendants of a Wake Island Defender applies or is deemed eligible, second preference shall be given to a student who is actively involved in the ROTC program at UCM or pursuing a degree in social studies and/or history)
- have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.0
- be of high moral character
- be a U.S. citizen
