Name of Scholarship To apply, a student must:
L. Jerold Adams Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • show evidence of scholarship and leadership
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • be approved by the UCM International Programs Director to study in Japan or Asia
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
A.E. Wright International Scholarship(for undergraduate students)
  • be an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in early childhood or elementary education (however, if no students pursuing a degree in early childhood or elementary education apply or are deemed eligible, other students pursuing a degree in education may be considered)
  • be a participant in a UCM affiliated international experience which is one semester or longer
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
A.E. Wright International Scholarship (for graduate students)
  • be a graduate student pursuing a degree in early childhood or elementary education (however, if no graduate students pursuing a degree in early childhood or elementary education apply or are deemed eligible, other graduate students pursuing a degree in education may be considered)
  • be a participant in a UCM affiliated international experience which may be less than one semester long
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1

Maynard and Fern Beardsley Scholarship for International Students

  • be a full-time international student in good academic standing at UCM
  • NOT be a resident of the United States
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
Laura Leigh Culp Botgat Memorial Scholarship
  • be an incoming freshman student that has been accepted to UCM
  • be a graduate of Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, MO
  • plan to pursue a degree in teacher education, political science, modern language and/or international studies
  • demonstrate service to community and high school
  • preference shall be given to a student interested in studying abroad
George Diemer Scholarship for International Students
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be studying at UCM as an international student (however, if no international students studying in the United States apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to students from the United States studying abroad)
  • have completed a minimum of one semester of study at UCM (minimum of 12 credit hours if undergraduate student, minimum of 9 credit hours if graduate student)
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.25
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
Diana Duvall International Exchange Scholarship
  • be a full time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing, having completed at least one semester at UCM
  • plan to study outside the United States for a semester or year-long UCM sponsored program;
  • have a minimum 2.5 GPA (undergraduate) or a 3.5 GPA (graduate)
  • provide a short essay(see application for details)
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
John and Barbara Erickson Scholarship for International Studies
  • be a full-time junior, senior or graduate student at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in business (preference shall be given to a student pursuing a degree in marketing)
  • be accepted in a campus program to study abroad
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of business
  • if a junior or senior student, must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in major
  • Application deadline: March 1
Alisa V. Gurieva Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student attending UCM for the first time with an interest in any field of study
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • be from the Saratov Region, Russia (if no students from the Saratov Region, Russia apply or are deemed eligible, second preference shall be given to other students from Russia; third preference shall be given to student from the former USSR; fourth preference shall be given to an international student
Homer Kempfer Scholarship
  • be an international student who is a citizen of a Central American country (however if no students from a Central American country apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to an international student who is a citizen of a Latin American country)
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a graduate degree in teacher education (however, if no graduate students pursuing a degree in teacher education apply or are deemed ineligible, consideration shall be given to a senior undergraduate student pursuing a degree in teacher education)
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.1 in major
  • Application deadline: July 1
Richard A. Luehrman Art Scholarship (for travel/study abroad programs)
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in art
  • intend to enroll (or be enrolled) in one of the Department of Art's spring or summer study/travel abroad programs
Alice Fayemi Olaiya Foundation Scholarship
  • be an incoming graduate student at UCM (however, if no graduate students apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to undergraduate students)
  • be pursuing a degree in industrial hygiene
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • be an international student from Nigeria or be from a U.S. inner city, preferably New Orleans, LA (second preference shall be given to a student from Western Africa and other U.S. inner cities; third preference shall be given to all other students pursuing a degree in industrial hygiene who meet criteria)
  • express an interest in returning to an inner city or African homeland to work and encourage others to seek higher education
  • demonstrate financial need
  • Application deadline: March 1
Shipley-Hocker Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be accepted and enrolled in a University-sponsored study abroad program (must have dates and location for study abroad finalized)
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • demonstrate leadership and service
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
Jayme Parks-Soulis Memorial Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be a participant in an international experience in France which is one semester or longer (however, if no students planning an international experience in France apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to students planning an international experience elsewhere that is one semester or longer)
  • demonstrate leadership, good character and academic ability
  • Applications accepted and considered throughout the year
Taiwan Commemorative Scholarship (for incoming freshmen students)
  • be an incoming freshman student and be accepted to UCM
  • plan to pursue a major in industrial technology (however, if no students pursuing a degree in industrial technology apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to a student pursuing a degree in a related program within the School of Technology: automotive technology management, computer-aided drafting and design technology, electronics technology, engineering technology, graphic arts technology management)
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability
  • preference shall be given to students from Taiwan
  • Application deadline: March 1
Taiwan Commemorative Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a major in industrial technology (however, if no students pursuing a degree in industrial technology apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to a student pursuing a degree in a related program within the School of Technology: automotive technology management, computer-aided drafting and design technology, electronics technology, engineering technology, graphic arts technology management)
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability
  • preference shall be given to students from Taiwan
  • Application deadline: March 1
Kozaburo and Hidejiro Teno Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing coursework which will enable him/her to promote international relations; first preference shall be given to a student interested in promoting relations between the U.S. and Japan; second preference shall be given to a student interested in promoting relations between the U.S. and other Asian countries
  • be a citizen of the U.S.
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
Tadeusz Ujejski International Student Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be a student from Poland studying at UCM (however, if no students from Poland apply or are deemed eligible, secondary preference shall be given to U.S.born students planning to study in Poland; third preference shall be given to all other UCM students planning to study abroad)
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • show promise of leadership and service
  • Application deadline: March 1
Webb Chinese American Scholarship (for incoming student from China to study at UCM)
  • be a Chinese student attending or accepted for attendance to any graduate program at UCM
  • demonstrate financial need
  • be pursuing a marketable degree
  • be a qualified, serious student in good academic standing
  • Application deadline: March 1
Webb Chinese American Scholarship (for study abroad)
  • be a UCM student who has completed a minimum of 2 years of study at UCM
  • be accepted for study at an accredited University in mainland China
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • demonstrate financial need
  • be pursuing a marketable degree
  • be a qualified, serious student in good academic standing
  • Application deadline: November 1 and May 1
