Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications for the 2012-2013 academic year must be delivered or postmarked by March 1, 2012 to the address printed on the application.  Be sure to check below for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.

Name of Scholarship To apply, a student must:
Ralph H. Brueske Scholarship
  • be a full-time senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show leadership and academic ability in the field of occupational safety management
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA Of 2.75
EMBARQ University of Central Missouri Scholarship (for incoming freshmen students)
  • be a graduating high school senior and plan to attend UCM
  • be accepted to UCM
  • reside within the CenturyLink service area
  • plan to pursue a major within the area(s) of science/environment, business/economics, marketing and/or math/computer science
  • have a minimum overall cumulative high school GPA of 3.0
CenturyLink University of Central Missouri Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student at UCM or be the spouse of a military person
  • be accepted and enrolled at UCM
  • reside within the CenturyLink service area
  • plan to pursue a major within the area(s) of science/environment, business/economics, marketing and/or math/computer science
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
Norris J. Freeman Memorial Transportation Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in safety science with an emphasis in transportation safety
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
Allan A. Goldberg Scholarship of the St. Louis Chapter of Risk & Insurance Management Society, Inc.
  • be a full-time senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in safety management or industrial hygiene or pursuing a minor in safety, fire science and/or security
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2
Herbert H. Jones Industrial Hygiene Scholarship
  • be a full-time second-year graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in industrial hygiene (on the UCM campus)
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of industrial hygiene
  • Application deadline: November 1
Dr. Norman Key Safety Scholarship
  • have received an undergraduate degree prior to June 1
  • have an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.5 and 3.0 in major
  • have been admitted to the Graduate School and a safety-related program at UCM
  • demonstrate high record of scholastic achievement as an undergraduate student
  • demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities
  • possess high standards of character as evidenced by the statements of peers, employers and instructors
Missouri Employers Mutual Outstanding Student Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior or senior in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a major in occupational safety and health or safety management
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • be a resident of the state of Missouri
  • demonstrate campus and community involvement
Alice Fayemi Olaiya Foundation Scholarship
  • be an incoming graduate student at UCM (however, if no graduate students apply or are deemed eligible, consideration may be given to undergraduate students)
  • be pursuing a degree in industrial hygiene at UCM
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • be an international student from Nigeria or be from a U.S. inner city, preferably New Orleans, LA (second preference shall be given to students from Western Africa or other U.S. inner cities; third preference shall be given to all other students pursuing a degree in industrial hygiene that meet criteria)
  • express an interest in returning to an inner city or African homeland to work and encourage others to seek higher education
  • demonstrate financial need
D.W. Tieszen Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in safety education or a related field
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of safety education
