Students may apply for multiple scholarships. Most applications for the 2014-2015 academic year must be completed and submitted by March 1, 2014.  Be sure to check below for scholarships that have an application deadline other than March 1.

Name of Scholarship To apply, a student must:
Automotive Studies Scholarship
  • be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior student in good academic staning at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in automotive technology
  • intend to pursue and complete a 4-year degree in the field of automotive technology
A. Ralph Boxell N0OHD Scholarship (for incoming freshmen students)
  • be a graduating high school senior and be accepted to UCM
  • hold a valid amateur radio license
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • preference shall be given to a student enrolled in an electronics and/or radio-related class

  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM

James M. Brahney Graphic Arts Alumni Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in graphic arts technology management
  • have completed a minimum of 75 credit hours toward the completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree in graphic arts technology management
  • demonstrate leadership, service and academic ability in the field of graphic arts
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
Robert Breshears Best in Show Award
  • awarded to the student winning Best in Show at the annual UCM Exposition for Photography
Coleman Industrial Construction, Inc., Diane and Don Coleman Scholarship in Construction Management
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in construction management
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • demonstrate good character, leadership and service
  • demonstrate financial need
Jacob M. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • be pursuing a degree in the field of technology (see application for details)
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in one of the fields of technology
  • demonstrate financial need
  • preference shall be given to a student independently financing his/her education
Bill and Anne Downs Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student at UCM in good academic standing
  • be a non-traditional student (see application for details)
  • be pursuing a degree in graphics or industrial technology education
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of graphic arts, drafting, photography, fashion merchandising and/or technology education
Drafting Student Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in the field of drafting
  • have completed a minimum of 75 credit hours toward the completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree in drafting
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • demonstrate leadership ability, service and academic ability in the field of drafting
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
Billie Jo Eldridge Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in graphic arts technology management
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of graphic arts technology management
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.6
 
General Electric Scholarship Honoring Gene Harmon in Engineering Technology
  • be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in engineering technology
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in major
Robert E. Goetz Scholarship
  • be a graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in agriculture, or within the School of Technology
H&H ColorLab Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in photography
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • demonstrate good character and show leadership and technical, aesthetic and academic ability in the field of photography
  • provide a "print" portfolio (reflective art) consisting of at least ten images (minimum 5x7)
Mel Jenkins Photography Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in the field of photography
  • have completed a minimum of 75 credit hours toward the completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree in photography
  • demonstrate leadership ability, service and academic ability in the field of photography
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
Charles J. Kohler Scholarship
  • be a junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in graphic arts technology management
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of graphic arts
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in major
  • have family residence within the greater St. Louis, MO metropolitan area and possess an interest in St. Louis-area employment (second preference shall be given to graduates from high schools located within the state of Missouri)
Nicoll and Tipton Automotive Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
    be pursuing a degree in automotive technology management
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of automotive technology management
  • demonstrate financial need
Barton Riley Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in construction science management
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of construction management
  • have completed a minimum of 35 credit hours within the curriculum
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.85
  • be a current member of the Student Organization of Construction Managers at UCM (preference shall be given to an active member who is able to demonstrate leadership which has directly affected the success of the organization)
John T. Sarantakos Scholarship
  • be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in graphic arts technology management (however, if no students pursuing a degree in graphic arts technology management apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to students pursuing a degree in sociology)
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.75 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in major
F. Earl Spangler Scholarship in Graphic Arts
  • be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in graphic arts technology management
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • be a resident of Missouri or Kansas (preference shall be given to a student from within the greater Kansas City area)
  • demonstrate good character and leadership
  • demonstrate financial need
Glenn W. Stahl Memorial Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in technology or engineering technology
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability in the field of technology or engineering technology
  • have graduated from a high school located in Crestridge, MO, Holden, MO, Kingsville, MO, Lee's Summit, MO, Pleasant Hill, MO, or Warrensburg, MO (however, if no students from the listed high schools apply or are deemed eligible, other students meeting the criteria shall be considered)
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.5 in major
  • preference shall be given to students independently financing his/her education.
Linda Holman Struchtemeyer Scholarship
  • be an incoming freshman student and be accepted to UCM
  • plan to pursue a major in elementary education, special education, secondary education, or industrial technology education (to include drafting, graphics, automotive technology, construction management, electronics and manufacturing management)
  • rank in the upper one-third of graduating senior class
  • have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • score a minimum of 18 on ACT
  • demonstrate good citizenship through participation in high school activities
  • demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership and character
Taiwan Commemorative Scholarship (for incoming freshmen students)
  • be an incoming freshman student and be accepted to UCM
  • plan to pursue a major in industrial technology (however if no students pursuing a degree in industrial technology apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to students pursuing a major in a related program within the School of Technology, see application for details)
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability
  • preference shall be given to students from Taiwan
Taiwan Commemorative Scholarship
  • be a full-time student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a major in industrial technology (however if no students pursuing a degree in industrial technology apply or are deemed eligible, consideration shall be given to students pursuing a major in a related program within the School of Technology, see application for details)
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • show promise of leadership and academic ability
  • preference shall be given to students from Taiwan
John Davis and Lettie Corneal Vogel Scholarship (for incoming freshmen students)
  • be an incoming freshman student and be accepted to UCM
  • plan to pursue a degree within the School of Technology (see application for details)
  • demonstrate financial need
  • be an overall good "quality" student

Jack R. Williams Family Scholarship
  • To apply, a student must be a full or part-time, undergraduate or graduate student, in good academic standing, pursuing a degree within the School of Technology, and;

  • be pursuing a degree in Drafting and Design Technology, Graphic Arts Technology Management, or Industrial Management;

  • be a resident of the State of Missouri;

  • demonstrate financial need;

  • Preference will be given to students who meet all three criteria; however, selection committee may nominate a candidate who meets two (2) requirements if no candidate meets all three.

Ernest T. Wilson Scholarship
  • be a full-time junior or senior student in good academic standing at UCM
  • be pursuing a degree in automotive technology management or a related field
  • have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • be worthy, deserving and of good moral character
  • demonstrate leadership and academic ability in the field of automotive technology management
  • preference shall be given to students with aptitude in hydraulics and/or pneumatics
