Tobacco-Free UCM

Tobacco Free Ambassadors (TFA)

The Tobacco Free Ambassadors are dedicated to helping educate UCM students about the new university-wide policy effective January 1st, 2014. Through education and peer-support, the TFAs are helping students transition to the new policy.

Through peer-education training, the TFAs will give presentations and speak with student organizations about what the policy means for them, and how they can help UCM become a tobacco-free environment.

The group is composed of undergraduate and graduate students attending UCM.

TFAs will:

  • Assist in UCM research about to tobacco use on campus

  • Attend training events to learn peer-education skills

  • Present to student organizations and groups about the policy

  • Push out messages across campus and social media about the new policy

  • Attend UCM events and speak with students about the tobacco-free initiative

  • Assist UCM in respectfully educating the campus about the policy when it becomes active

If you are interested in becoming a TFA fill out an application and you will be contacted shortly regarding your status.
