This April, the UCM Gallery of Art and Design and the Student Artist Coalition (SAC) are hosting the very first 6 x 8 show as a SAC fundraiser. Artists were invited to make individual pieces of artwork in an approximate 6” x 8” format. Entrants may submit one piece or multiple works. The money generated by this show will be used to offset the expenses of programming such as visiting artists, artist talks, lectures, and field trips.
Artwork will be exhibited from April 23, – May 3, and are available for purchase during that time. All student artwork will be sold for $15 per piece or 2 for $25. Faculty, alumni, and visiting artists’ work will be sold for $50. 100% of the proceeds form the show will be donated to SAC.
To see the works in person, please visit the Department of Art and Design hallway display cases between April 23, – May 3, 2013. The Gallery of Art and Design will accept credit cards, checks, and cash. To purchase a piece from the show, please see Christian Cutler, Gallery Director, in the gallery offices.

Today, the importance and influence of the UCM Gallery of Art & Design is measured by the relationship and patronage of its students, university, alumni, and community. Beginning with the 2009 – 2010 exhibition season, the UCM Gallery of Art & Design embarked on a new mission and the exciting new development of a membership program. By supporting the visual arts at the University of Central Missouri, your membership will aid in the development and sustainability of new and annual programming. The objective of the membership drive is to create stronger relationships with our patrons, alumni, and friends.
