Graduate Faculty Status
Full-member graduate faculty
1 Teach courses offered for graduate credit.
2 Are eligible to serve on the GC and GFRC.
3 Nominate and elect graduate faculty representatives to the GC and GFRC.
4 Are eligible to serve as the chair of committees overseeing graduate students’ capstone experiences, such as theses, research papers, and final projects.
5 Are eligible to serve as program coordinators and graduate student advisors.
6 Receive the minutes of the Graduate Council meetings.
7 Receive the annual report of Graduate Council activity.
8 Are members of the Graduate Faculty Assembly with full voting privileges.
Applications for full status will be reviewed each September and January.
Associate-member Graduate Faculty
1 Teach courses offered for graduate credit for which the person has been approved.
2 Are eligible to serve on committees overseeing graduate students’ capstone experiences, such as theses, research papers, and final projects.
3 Are eligible to serve as acting program coordinators and/or graduate student advisors with approval per academic year from the academic unit and the Graduate Dean.
4 Are members of the Graduate Faculty Assembly with limited voting privileges (i.e., may not elect members to GC or GFRC)
Applications for associate status will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
