UCM offers several scholarships to graduate students, a list of scholarships administered by Graduate Studies is available online, along with applications. Deadlines for applying for most graduate scholarships are March 1.
Also, check with your academic department concerning discipline-specific scholarships available for graduate students.
Federal Financial Aid
Graduate students may be eligible for federal financial aid programs including Perkins Loans, Stafford Loans, and the Work-Study program. You have to be fully admitted to a UCM Master’s program, Education Specialist program, or approved certification program through the Teacher Certification Office to be eligible. You also have to be enrolled on at least a half-time basis (4 graduate credit hours in the fall and spring semesters, 3 graduate credit hours in the summer).

To be considered for any of these federal aid programs, students need to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA should be provided to the national application processor after January 1 each year, but prior to April 1. This should be done online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and you will receive a Financial Aid Notification outlining the type(s) and amount(s) of aid for which you qualify.
